Emerson Andrew

He graduated in Chemistry with a 2.1 Honours Degree from the University of Southampton, UK in 1987. In 1991 he was awarded a PhD in chemistry from the University of Southampton with thesis title "Mean field theories and computer simulations of liquid crystals".  He has held various postdoc research positions in the UK and at the University of Bologna and has worked in industry as a programmer. In 1997 he was awarded the title "Young Scientist of the Year" by the British Liquid Crystal Society. His current role is in the projects group as an applications specialist. Interests include the application of HPC in the fields of theoretical chemistry, materials science and life science.
