Condolences for Giovanni Lapenta’s passing

It is with deep sadness that we learn of the passing of Giovanni Lapenta, Full Professor at the Faculty of Science at KU Leuven and one of the best-known solar physicists in the computational field. Giovanni, for many years our user and partner in several projects, the last of which was SPACE, was a prominent figure in the scientific community whose contribution to research in astrophysics and solar physics was a point of reference and inspiration. We express our deepest condolences to Giovanni’s family, friends and colleagues. His passion for science and collaborative spirit will remain in our memory forever.
