There are two exciting opportunities at upcoming science festivals to explore the world of computation and discover what quantum computers are used for.

 

Join us for an interactive session led by Sara Marzella (CINECA) and Luca Perri (astrophysicist), both passionate science communicators with intriguing questions and surprising insights. They will explain how the theory of quantum mechanics has shaped today’s technology and paved the way for quantum computing.

We will delve into the current state of quantum computers and discuss the long-term challenges—while also considering near-term developments, such as their integration with supercomputers like Leonardo.

The conference will take place at Bergamo Scienza Festival on 4 October 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. It is suitable for ages 16+.

The second event will be hosted at Palazzo Ducale, Sala del Maggior Consiglio, Piazza Matteotti 9, at 6:30 PM on 27 October, during the Genoa Science Festival, which this year focuses on the theme of Challenges.
