On 30 March 2016, the Human Brain Project is releasing the first components, services and tools of its 6 ICT Platforms to the scientific community (Neuroinformatics, Brain Simulation, High Performance Analytics and Computing, Medical Informatics, Neuromorphic Computing, Neurorobotics).

The development of the Platforms has been the result of an extensive multidisciplinary scientific effort. The release is a key project deliverable and an important milestone in the evolution of the Platforms into a vibrant user-centric Research Infrastructure (RI) that will benefit brain research, neuroscience, and the development of brain inspired technologies.

Scientific users, who are not members of the HBP Consortium, can request access to prototype versions of the Platforms via a single entry point, the HBP Collaboratory.

The HBP is planning an online release event on 30 March 2016 to present the tools and features available to researchers, provide interested scientific users with information about how to request access via a "Community Account" and where they can find out more.

The event will be web-streamed live (9:30-12:15 and 14:00-15:30 CEST):

The morning stream will start at 09:30 CEST, Target audience: scientific community.
You can see on Adobe Connect or YouTube

The afternoon stream will start at 14:00 CEST . Target audienceGeneral public and press.
