The Data Centric General Purpose (DCGP) partition of Leonardo is ready to enter the production phase today, February 12th. This is the new partition of the pre-exascale Tier-0 EuroHPC supercomputer LEONARDO, classified in the 6° position among the most powerful supercomputers in the Top500 List.

The Data-centric General Purpose partition is based on BullSequana X2140 three-node CPU Blade and is equipped with two Intel Sapphire Rapids CPUs, each with 56 cores.

The DCGP partition, as the booster partition, uses NVIDIA Mellanox HDR 200Gb/s InfiniBand connectivity, with smart in-network computing acceleration engines that enable extremely low latency and high data throughput to provide the highest AI and HPC application performance and scalability.
