- MATLAB meets Leonardo: a...

We are glad to celebrate the high participation to the MATLAB hands-on workshop which was held last week.
The single-day event co-organized with the MathWorks’ experts has been a great success.
During the workshop, chaired by MathWorks’ lecturer Alessio Conte, attendees have been introduced to the submission of parallel computing jobs with MathWorks MATLAB software on the CINECA top 10 fastest supercomputer Leonardo, in order to solve compute-intensive and data-intensive problems using Leonardo multicore processors and GPUs.
During the hands-on session, attendees learnt how to access Leonardo, configure and submit MATLAB jobs and fetch results using MATLAB.

By simulating common scenarios to parallelize MATLAB algorithms, attendees enhanced their understanding of parallel computing with MATLAB on HPC clusters and learnt about best practices.
We greatful thanks Alessio Conte, Raymond Norris, Shubo Chakrabati and Paola Vallauri for their support and help in organizing this event.
By looking forward for additional collaboration experiences, we already agreed to repeat this workshop in one year time.
Stay tuned on our CINECA Training events page.
