Today marks the successful conclusion of the 33° edition of the CINECA two-week Summer School in High-Performance Computing (HPC), bringing together students, researchers, and professionals from across Europe. Physics, medical science, chemistry, material science, and computer science are the main fields of expertise of the participants.

Participants engaged in hands-on workshops, lectures, and collaborative projects designed to enhance their understanding of HPC technologies and their applications in various fields.

During the first week, the focus was on CPU cluster parallelization. In the second week, GPU programming techniques were explored. Participants had the opportunity to work directly with state-of-the-art computing resources, gaining practical experience in utilizing HPC.
Despite the intensive schedule that included final project work, learning was balanced with cluster tours and social dinners, fostering connections.

CINECA has always been committed to preparing the next generation of computational scientists, and we look forward to meeting again with participants in their projects leveraging HPC and collaborating to push the boundaries of scientific discovery and technological innovation.

The next HPC courses and Schools will start again in October.
