Dear users,

An openssh vulnerability has been recently identified for glibc-based Linux systems (CVE-2024-6387).
This exposes all the affected machines to a significant exploit risk.

Affected versions are:

  • openssh <= 4.4p1 (if not patched for CVE-2006-5051 and CVE-2008-4109)
  • 8.5p1 <= openssh < 9.8p1

We recommend you to update the openssh client on your virtual machines on ADA Cloud to at least version 9.8p1.
