Dear Gateway Users,

we contact you for some changes and additional information that may be of your interest:

Partition change tomorrow October 23rd 9:00 CEST
Following the indications of the Gateway User Board, the following changes will be applied tomorrow morning concerning the submission of debug jobs:

  • the partition gwdbg will be removed
  • the new QOS qos_dbg will be assigned to all users in order to submit high-priority debug jobs of max 30 minutes and 128 cores on the production partition gw. The QOS has to be requested in the jobscript with the directives:
    #SBATCH --qos=qos_dbg
    #SBATCH --partition=gw

On the entire cluster, only 128 cores in total can be used for running debug jobs.

In addition we also changed the limits of the qos_gwlong setting a per user limit of 128 cores. The qos_gwlong can allocate at the same time at maximum 256 cores.

These changes will be effective tomorrow October 23rd at 9:00 CEST

Update of the EFGW User Guide
The EFGW User Guide has been updated to add indications on:

  • how to make your $HOME/public directory accessible to all users
  • how to use flatpak in NX sessions
  • revised slurm configuration
