- EuroHPC calls for proposals
Dear EUROfusion Users,
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that EuroHPC deploys in Europe an infrastructure for research which includes several supercomputers with various architecture and technologies, ranging from Petascale to Exascale. The access to this infrastructure is free for research activities.
The Access to the EuroHPC supercomputer resources is managed by calls for proposals with a selection process based on the scientific value of projects submitted. Depending on the size of the projects, four types of calls for access to classical HPC are launched by EuroHPC: development access, benchmark access, regular access and extreme scale access. In addition, specific calls targeting AI are also launched by EuroHPC.
At this time, EuroHPC call for proposals for
- HPC Regular Access Mode is open with two cut-off dates in 2026: March 30 and September 4
- HPC Extreme Scale Access Mode is open with two cut-off dates in 2026: April 27 and October 19
Please refer to the EuroHPC Supercomputer Access Calls page for the full list of Calls for Proposals.
If you need more resources than the ones available on Pitagora, we would like to encourage you to apply for EuroHPC resources. Among the supercomputers made available by EuroHPC, the Leonardo supercomputer (and especially the DCGP partition), used by the EUROfusion community in 2024 and 2025, and on which most of the fusion codes have been already ported, could be a first target for new comers to EuroHPC resources.
Best regards,
