FINAL REMINDER: activation of the automatic cleaning procedure for Leonardo SCRATCH area

Dear Users,

This is the last reminder about the automatic cleaning procedure that will be enforced in the Leonardo SCRATCH area starting from next Monday, October 7th.

As with the other CINECA clusters, the procedure will cancel files older than 40 days only in the SCRATCH folders. All the different areas (i.e. HOME, PUBLIC, WORK, FAST) will not be affected by this procedure – more info here. Please do not leave important data on SCRATCH for more than 40 days.

You should make sure to transfer any data you need to store for the long term from Leonardo SCRATCH to an external location outside the cluster, or from SCRATCH to other storage areas on the cluster like WORK or FAST. You can use the datamover service or run a SLURM job on the lrd_all_serial partition for this purpose.

IMPORTANT: SCRATCH area is conceived to store temporary data, and it must not be used for long-term storage. Deliberately modifying file access times to bypass the retention policy may impact other users negatively and is highly prohibited.
