Leonardo: activation of the SCRATCH automatic cleaning procedure

Dear Users,

To avoid reaching a dangerous level of occupancy we plan to activate the SCRATCH cleaning procedure by October.

As with the other CINECA clusters, the procedure will cancel files older than 40 days only in the SCRATCH folders. All the different areas (i.e. HOME, PUBLIC, WORK, FAST) will not be affected by this procedure – more info here. Please be sure not to leave important data on SCRATCH for more than 40 days.

Be aware of removing the unnecessary data to reduce the total occupancy, and transfer what you need to archive from Leonardo SCRATCH to elsewhere outside the cluster, or from SCRATCH to the other capacity areas on the cluster (such as WORK or FAST). You can rely on the datamover service or run a SLURM job on the lrd_all_serial partition. We remind you that the SCRATCH area is conceived to store temporary data.
