The PhD school in Physics and Nanoscience of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia has several openings for graduate students that plan to start a PhD program in the fall of 2024.
The school particularly welcomes students with a background in physics, chemistry, engineering or related fields who are interested in using high-performance computing facilities, such as CINECA, to interpret, understand and design physical and chemical processes at the nanoscale.
Applications deadline: July 26th, 2024.
During the three-year program, the students’ salary is fully covered by scholarships awarded based on merit.
Research areas: Materials for Sustainability and Health, Quantum Science and Nanotechnology, Condensed Matter Theory and Computation, Fundamental Interactions and Astrophysics.
