TasksThe project aims quantum chemical modeling of calcium silicate nanoparticles, their surfaces and interfaces with water. The project has focus at the stability and the growth of silicate-based particles and understanding of the process of the setting mechanisms of cement.
QualificationsRecent PhD in the field of theoretical chemistry, or similar field. Strong background in the quantum chemistry of the solid state. Experience with periodic and cluster models of ionic compounds is essential. Programming skills (FORTRAN and/or C) and knowledge of Linux is required. Knowledge of statistical mechanical packages is an advantage.

ScholarshipThe scholarship amounts to 20 000 SEK monthly and is normally paid in advance. The scholarship is a grant and is therefore not subjected to tax deduction. The holder of the scholarship will be insured during the stay in Sweden. The scholarship is not pensionable and does not include financial compensation for:- Illness- Vacation- Parental leave of absence- Allowance during travels in the line of duty
