- REMINDER: Leonardo Scheduled Maintenance...
Dear Users,
This is to remind you that starting tomorrow, August 3rd, Leonardo will undergo an extended maintenance period to complete the system management software stack upgrade that began in April.
The overall maintenance activities are expected to span more than two weeks. At present, we expect to concentrate the actual outage period between August 3rd and August 7th. During this period, the compute nodes (both Booster and DCGP) will not be available, meaning that no production jobs will be able to run. Access to the login nodes will not be available in the time window August 3-7, while data-transfer services via Leonardo Datamovers will not be available on August 4-5, when the upgrade of the lustre system will require the temporary unmounting of the file systems.
Although we will do our best to minimize the outage period, please be aware that upgrade activities will continue beyond the main outage window, and some operations requiring downtime of critical services may extend into the second week of August. Consequently, normal production service cannot be guaranteed between August 3rd and August 14th.
Summary of the Impact of the August Maintenance
Expected outage period: August 3rd – August 7th
Production service not guaranteed: August 3rd – August 14th
Best regards,
