Reminder: start of the urgent maintenance operation on ADA cloud 

Dear Users, 

this is to inform you that the urgent maintenance operations are about to start. 

We kindly ask you to carry out the important actions described in yesterday afternoon’s HPC News (also reported below) as soon as possible, if you have not already done so. 

To perform the maintenance operations, the system will be completely closed and thus the ADA cloud dashboard, the cli interface and all the Virtual Machines (VMs) will NOT be available. 

IMPORTANT actions to be performed by you:  

• Before that date, please safely shut off all your VMs.  

• After the shut-off of the VMs, for those VMs with LUKS volumes attached, please detach each volume by using the “Manage attachment” command in the ADA cloud dashboard (https://adacloud.hpc.cineca.it) under the “Volumes –> Volumes” tab.  

WARNING:  

• All the VMs that will be in active state at the beginning of the maintenance will be automatically shut off, with possible loss of data. 

We will inform you as soon as the maintenance is completed.
