TIMES Doctoral School on HPC: From Parallel Programming to Exascale Computing

Dear all,

CINECA, in collaboration with the University of Valencia, is organizing an HPC school as part of the TIMES Doctoral Network, taking place in Bologna from 16 to 19 November 2026.

Alongside training on HPC architectures, CPU and GPU programming, and performance optimization, the school will feature a dedicated day on numerical methods and advanced linear algebra libraries for Exascale computing. This provides an opportunity to explore not only how to run scientific applications efficiently on HPC systems, but also the numerical libraries and algorithms that enable large-scale scientific computing.

The school is aimed at PhD students, researchers, and other participants interested in developing their High-Performance Computing (HPC) skills. Additional places are available, and registrations are open until all places are filled.

The school will feature contributions from CINECA and MaX coe experts, together with two external speakers: José Román, Professor at the Polytechnic University of Valencia and developer of the SLEPc library, and Edoardo Di Napoli, from Forschungszentrum Jülich and developer of the ChASE library.

Registration

The school will take place in person at CINECA, Via Magnanelli 6, 40033 Casalecchio di Reno, Bologna, Italy.
