AICH is a platform that facilitates voluntary carbon credit trading using remote sensing, artificial intelligence and tokenization of the information. It manages the service cycle, from forest carbon sequestration to exchange between landowners and companies, enhancing environmental footprint.

Start date: 01/02/2023

Duration in months: 9

Problem Description

To create a marketplace to connect the supply and demand of carbon credits based on the integrated use of remote sensing, to implement artificial intelligence-based image analysis to accurately measure the carbon sequestered from forest areas and tokenization of the information.

Goals

New services

Challenges

The main challenge of Latitudo 40 is to be able to accurately estimate forest biomass on the surface thanks to the use of satellite images and AI algorithms.

Innovation results

The satellite approach offers an innovative method for estimating carbon fluxes over larger areas, rather than using empirical CO2 estimation and onsite inspections. Another innovation is the integration with an energy-efficient blockchain/DLT (such as CORDA or MATIC).
