Problem Description
SoftSim provides Urban Physics Modelling solutions to engineers, urbanists, and architects across Europe, optimizing urban planning and solving environmental problems. Utilizing high-fidelity CFD methodologies, the company faces the challenge of sustainable growth in a competitive AEC sector.
Goals
Reduce time to solution
Challenges
SoftSim's resources are insufficient due to increasing service demands. Complex larger-scale contracts require multiple computational systems, high analyst expertise, and prohibitive costs. In Bulgaria, hiring and training skilled CFD engineers is difficult due to a deficit of experienced engineers.
Innovation results
SoftSim has developed a UPM infrastructure using CFD and HPC based on Engys's HELYX ® product. This allows for high-fidelity CFD experiments, fast turnaround times, accurate numerical predictions, and cost reduction in analyst and computation time. The solution offers a Graphical User Interface.
Business impact
SoftSim is projected to increase its revenue by 300% within four years, reducing analyst time by 25%. Engys' SaaS revenue is expected to rise by 80% over three years, and its UPM installed customer base is expected to increase by 66% from 18 to 30.
