One of the main challenges is to guarantee operational safety of aircraft that can be flying up to 10 km. DronCAS wants to develop a software collision avoidance system for long-range drones. This system generates a complete digital surface model of the flight area using different data sources then, integrating this information with the simulation, potential collision points are detected.
