  4. URBALYTICS: URBAN DATA ANALYTICS...

UrbAlytics aims to improve knowledge of the territory and activate new business processes based on smart geoinformation, especially in the field of monitoring and control of quality and evolution of urban spaces and for the activation of continuous and proactive processes to improve the quality of services to citizens. It will offer new tools to assess the evolution of urban scenario and identify the main parameters to plan new buildings or renovation of buildings or even entire neighborhoods.

Start date: 05/01/2021

Duration in months: 9

Problem Description

The project using the provided dataset will develop a specific pilot to analyze the evolution of equality of lifeindex over a time horizon of 3/5 years and the creation of thematic urban maps for the planning of new investments

Goals

New services

Challenges

The objectives for the experiment are:to identify a new model for the integration of satellite data with open city data,to use the data in a combined way to create a representative index of quality of life,to create models for analysing this index, based on data trends and to understand its evolution and tocreate a model for predicting the value of the index in the future.

Innovation results

The city digital twin is based on an AI-assisted analysis of user-generated content, in situ data, and satellite photos. Continuous land monitoring is made easier to access for non-expert users based on simple qualitative/quantitative indices produced from the data fusion of EO derived information, in situ data, and web/social insights. Furthermore, UrbAlytics has access to multiple EO service providers based on constellations of small satellites to shorten revisit time and increase accuracy.
