Purpose of Data Processing and type of Processed Data

BROWSING DATA

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, during their normal operation, certain data whose transmission is inherent in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected to be associated with identified subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier: a string that uniquely identifies a generic resource that can be a web address, a document, a file, etc.. ) of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computer environment (browser used by the user).

On the other hand, the system does not allow the identity of the user connecting to be collected.

This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check its correct operation and is kept for the period necessary for the purposes defined in this policy. The data in question could be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of any computer crimes to the detriment of our site, in compliance with the guarantees imposed by law. Please note that the use of navigation data and cookies is by no means aimed at “user profiling”, i.e. a technique aimed at collecting information on consumers to better target promotional campaigns and sales offers.

CONFIGURATION OF CINECA WEB SERVER LOGS

While browsing websites, each user’s browser communicates the surfer’s IP address to the Cineca web server. The IP address is a number automatically assigned to each computer while surfing the web.

Cineca’s web server is configured in such a way as not to allow user identification (username) associated with the IP address or other personal identity information, therefore the user remains anonymous while visiting the site.

Copiright Notes

All rights to the creative and original contents that make up the HPC website (by way of example, texts, graphics, original photographic works and the architecture of the Site) are reserved pursuant to current legislation (law on copyright that protects the contents, having the character of creativity and originality, that make up the multimedia work).

The contents of the pages of the Site may not (unless otherwise specified within the documentation to be used) in whole or in part, be copied, reproduced, transferred, uploaded, published or distributed in any way without the prior consent of Cineca , except for the possibility of storing them in your own computer or printing extracts of pages from this Site solely for personal use.

Any form of link to this site if inserted by third parties must not damage the image and activities of Cineca.

So-called “deep linking” is prohibited, i.e. the operation of inserting within a page of an external site a direct hypertext link to a specific internal page of the Cineca site, thus bypassing the Cineca home page and all intermediate pages. Deep linking may be allowed, if agreed in advance with Cineca, and provided that the creation of the link allows the user to clearly identify the ownership of the displayed page.

Also prohibited is the use of “framing”, as a way of realising deep linking, which, thanks to the use of frames within the calling site, could mislead the user-surfer into thinking that the content of the linked page belongs to the source site.
