Acocella Angela

She graduated cum laude in Chemistry at the University of Bologna, where she also obtained a PhD in Chemical Sciences with a thesis entitled “Theoretical Study of Super- and Supra-molecular systems”. She held various postdoc positions in the field of computational chemistry, and a fixed-term researcher role at the Department of Chemistry “G. Ciamician” in Bologna. During her research activity, she investigated chemical processes on complex systems at different length and time scales by means of quantum mechanics and classical simulations. Her main interests focused on the electronic and optical response in molecules and solids under external perturbations. She currently works on material science software and community support.
