Leonardo secures its place among the 500 most powerfull supercomputers.
The announcement was made during the SC24, the most significant international High Performance Computing conference, in Atlanta, Georgia.
The new ranking confirms that Leonardo, the supercomputer managed by Cineca, is among the ten most powerful in the world. This result consolidates Italy’s position at the top of high-performance computing (HPC) and testifies to Cineca’s role in research and technological innovation.
This milestone rewards CINECA’s almost 60 years of commitment to supporting research through High Performance Computing and confirms Italy’s role as a strategic asset in building the European HPC ecosystem.
Leonardo maintains its status as Europe’s preeminent high-performance computing resource. Based on Eviden’s BullSequana XH2000 technology, its architecture is ideal for compute-intensive tasks such as data processing, high-performance data analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning.
