GreenShift

What is GreenShift?
GreenShift is a European initiative developing a Joint Master’s programme and flexible training modules focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) for green digital innovation in the transport sector.
The programme responds to the growing need for advanced digital skills that can be applied to real challenges in transport, mobility, and urban systems, as the sector works to reduce emissions, improve efficiency, and adapt to new technological demands. By strengthening these skills across Europe, GreenShift supports the development of smarter, more efficient, and more sustainable transport systems.
GreenShift is developing a flexible learning pathway that will include a European Joint Master’s programme, standalone modules, and micro-credentials, together with hands-on activities such as bootcamps, hackathons, and industry training. The courses are designed around real transport and mobility challenges, helping learners apply AI and HPC to practical problems in transport systems.
GreenShift is designed for professionals, graduates, start-ups, companies, and public authorities working in transport, mobility, engineering, data science, and digital technologies. It is intended for anyone who wants to use advanced computing, AI, and data-driven methods to develop more efficient, intelligent, and sustainable transport solutions.
GreenShift will offer a European Joint Master’s programme together with standalone modules, micro-credentials, and short courses. The Master’s is planned as a 60 ECTS programme with a 9-month full-time option or a 12-month part-time option. Flexible learning pathways will allow participants to follow the full degree or take individual modules depending on their needs and professional background.
